ABOUT
YALE
Yale Wolf is a purveyor of light, an architect of the sidewalk and visual artist using industrial design to explore the outer boundaries of neon. Seattle is home to the artist where he has been making work out of his studio in the Sodo District for over ten years. Born in Reno, NV, Wolf came up under a city landscape dominated by neon’s captivating glow. As a young artist, he discovered a community of tradespeople blending art with science - blurring the lines between commercial works and public art. Drawing from his education in Industrial Design from Western Washington University, Yale uses neon in his creative practice alongside murals, metal fabrication and other art forms.
